Candidate Membership
Apply to become a Candidate Member of the German CFA Society
Now CFA Candidates have the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits of society membership!
In the past, CFA candidates could only become members of the society if they were members of CFA Institute. Now, however, we can offer our CFA candidates a membership in the German Society only, which is valid until they have finished the CFA Program.
Our goal is to provide candidates with access to the network and services of the German CFA Society during their studies. The membership can be changed to a regular membership with CFA Institute and GCFAS at any time until the CFA Charter is awarded, at which time it is necessary to apply for regular membership.
Requirements:
- Be currently registered with CFA Institute for Level 1, 2 or 3
- Less than three years since you have taken the last exam
- Signed Professional Code of Conduct
- 75 EUR annual membership fee

Join us at the over 40 events that we offer each year in six German cities. You will be able to attend these events for free, or at reduced prices.

Candidate Sponsorship Pool
Should you require a sponsor as a level III candidate, we can help. CFA Institute requires that a CFA Charterholder sponser each new regular member. We have a network of Charterholders who can help.
After Exam Event
After the CFA exam on exam day, we organize a networking event to revive our weary candidates.
Charter Award Ceremony
Once you have passed level III, you receive an exclusive tombstone to mark this exceptional achievement.
