Financial Market Integrity Index Germany : Main findings

The FMI-Index was conducted by CFA Institute in the past months amoung 2700 survey participants, mainly CFA charterholders.

About 600 investment professionals responded to questions about Germany or were participants from Germany.

Where is Action required?

IMPROVE

Overall average rating of the German market with strong concerns on ethical behavior of supervisory board members, financial advisors, hedge fund- and private equity fund managers

PROMOTE

Only 57% of the respondents outside Germany would recommend investing in the German market based solely on the integrity and effectiveness of the market and its participants

EDUCATE

Market participants needs to understand their role and responsibilities towards investors, the German financial market, and the German economy

Risk Management in Asset Management: Survey results

About 70 charterholders have responded to the survey - thank you. About 12 charterholders have signed up for a worksgroup on risk management in asset management.

We have compiled the main findings in this chart (click on the link).

The surveys was conducted in order to get a sense where the main concerns of our members are with regard to risk management. In the near future additional surveys will follow to research opinions and need at a greater detail.

Risk Management in Asset Management

In order to broaden our knowledge base and to better take influence to further develop the German financial market we have asked our members about "Risk Management in Asset management".

The aim of this short survey is to identify areas within the topic of risk management that are most important to our members. On the basis of the outcome of this survey, GCFAS will arrange topic specific roundtables with expert participation. We strive to lead the discussion on improved risk management practices and its perception.
